Pat's Picks -- First rule of wine drinking is,"drink what you love". Second rule, "be adventurous and try something new!" Two years ago, I took a chance on an Argentina Malbec, and it has all but replaced Cabernet Sauvignion with my steak. The Kaiken Malbec is full body and as dry as you could want it.
JoAnn' Picks -- the sweeter (just like my personality) the better. I am though currently enjoying a wonderful Chard from the Hob Nob vineyard in France. I call this my winter chard...warm toasted hazelnut, buttered almonds and ends with a vanilla nut. Sangria from Spain. Not like any sangria I ever made with cheap red wine. This is luscious, soft and full, with orange cherries and berries with a hint of clove and cinnamon. Serve it ice cold or warm it for winter (great snow shoveling wine).
