Nestled in the Oldest Home (1750) in Occoquan, VA at 406 Mill street, we offer a wide variety of gourmet food selections, wine, beer, cheeses, gelato, and handmade chocolate truffles. Come peruse our wide selection of products. Whether you're selecting something as a gift, or to enjoy yourself in our cafe, our staff promises to make you feel welcomed and part of the family. We will pour you a cup of steaming coffee, a glass of wine, or a pint of beer...just pull up a chair and enjoy.
In our Ferryman's cafe, a selection from our menu offering soups, salads and sandwiches, hot or cold will satisfy any craving or whim! Each menu item is made to your specifications with fresh greens, fruits, cheeses, meats, and breads. You will notice many of the menu selections have names like "The Dubliner," our signature panini made with smoked gouda, gruyere, shaved honey ham and smoked turkey breast piled high on sourdough bread laden with our special roasted garlic onion jam. Each name on the menu represents a place where we (The Barneys) have lived, worked and played. So be sure to check out "The Second Avenue," "The Arizonian," "South-side Chicago," "The Coney Island," or any of the other selections, and see what culinary delight they offer you and what fond memory the name brings to us.
Walking about the rooms of this quaint old home you will come upon many tempting and one of a kind products to add and use in your own cooking at home. From scone mixes, to rich creamy soups, to marmalades made not just for toast, but also for entree recipes, you will always find something interesting and unique.
The upstairs houses a wine attic of boutique wines from around the world. Names you might not recognize, but tastes you will never forget.
